Tim and I were married at Historic St. Mary’s Church which was one block from our hotel.

How adorable is our nephew/GQ Model!?

Although the church was close, we still got a limo because I’m a diva and didn’t want to walk (or make anyone else walk) in a big dress and heels. Plus, I was worried it was going to rain. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather. I think it was in the upper 60s and sunny all day. Exactly what I had hoped for.

My Dad and I joined our bridal party, including my adorable niece who is probably still mad at me for making her do this.
I was still eerily not anxious (Spoiler alert: I was somehow calm the entire day) as we waited at the back of the church. The music started and my bridesmaids began to walk down the aisle. I was so excited and before I knew it, it was time for my Dad and me to walk. The church aisle was pretty long, so I could barely see Tim’s face at first, but seeing all of our friends and family made me so incredibly happy.

Tim seemed nervous at first but I liked to think I helped calm him down a bit. What a role reversal from every other day of my life!

I loved our ceremony. I always say how great it is to attend weddings with a short ceremony, so, naturally, we made our family and friends sit through an entire Catholic mass. It seemed to fly by (for me). We enjoyed it and that’s all that matters, right people!?

I didn’t cry like I thought I would, which was probably for the best. I just remember that I couldn’t stop smiling. I felt so lucky to marry this guy. And before I knew it, we were husband and wife!

Don’t get me wrong – our reception was a blast – but the ceremony was by far my favorite part of the day.

Oh, and I have to include this….in case you were wondering if Francesca was happy I asked her to be my flower girl, she was not.

One of my favorite photos from the entire day.
