After our MOH and Best Man gave their toasts, it was time to eat! I don’t have pictures of the food but it was DELICIOUS. Everyone started with salads and while waiting for the main course, I danced with my Dad and Tim danced with his mom.
My Dad and I danced to “Always” by Frank Sinatra.
Tim and his Mom danced to “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong.
I love these photos with our parents. After we danced, it was time for more food. I forget the specifics of our meal choices but there was a chicken dish, beef tenderloin, and butternut squash ravioli. Tim was a diva and requested the stuffed sole, which they had been more than happy to give him since he was the groom. When we sat to eat, we were each given a plate with all four options so we could try everything. That was just an added bonus that was very appreciated because I love food so much. Oh, and to everyone who says to make sure you remember to eat at your wedding? I knew that wouldn’t be an issue for me and it wasn’t. I tried and enjoyed everything. My point is, if you make food a priority in your every day life, it will be a priority on your wedding day. Ya hear?
After that, the dancing began! At some point Jeff grabbed us to take cake cutting photos. We opted to do an “intimate” cake cutting, not because I cared about people watching us, but because I knew people would be having too much fun dancing and I didn’t want to make them stop to watch Tim and I feed each other some cake. Just another day, AMIRITE? We were brought over to an area off to the side to cut away. I love these pictures, which is awesome, because in reality Jeff was like:
“And you’re free to go.”
We didn’t go a bouquet or garter toss so the rest of our time was spent dancing the night away.
Fun fact: My bustle broke about an hour into our reception so I spent the entire evening carrying it around like this.
The dance floor was packed the whole night – just the way I like it.
The night went by so quickly and we tried to soak up every minute of it.
And just like that, our reception was over. Tim and I still talk about how quickly the day went, but it truly was the best day. I don’t remember if anything went wrong, and it really wouldn’t have mattered. I felt to lucky to be marrying Tim, and from start to finish, we felt so much love from everyone around us. It was awesome. We are so hashtag blessed that we got to spend our day with the people we love most in the world. #ENDSAPPYPOST
I’ve loved sharing these photos and re-living our day through these recaps. I hope you enjoyed it, too. I realize I mostly just shared pictures since I think they speak for themselves, so if you have questions about anything – our venue, where we took photos, WHATEVER – please feel free to ask 🙂
