If it were up to me, our Christmas tree would be up and I’d be playing Christmas music already (in the presence of others. I may or may not have already done that on my own this month). Instead, I decided to be socially acceptable and put together a list of the absolute best Halloween movies. When I got to work, I realized there were only three I thought were important. Please note: No horror films on this list because who enjoys panic attacks?
They just don’t make Disney movies like they used to. Is there anything better than a girl discovering she’s a witch and helping her grandmother save Halloweentown? Maybe the sequels. Watch those as well.
Do I even need to explain this one? Rumor has it they are “re-making” this classic film. Bette Midler, SJP, and Kathy Najimy have all said they would do a sequel and reprise their roles but for some ridiculous reason that’s not happening. Give the people what they want!
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Jack Skellington, the bored pumpkin king of Halloween Town, attempts to bring Christmas to their town instead of Halloween. I haven’t watched this one in a while, but I should. I can totally relate.
Freeform has their schedule of Halloween movies (starting tonight), which you can find here. Personally, I think the list is blah, but maybe you will enjoy if you’re more of a “Halloween” person than I am. Disney will be playing Halloween Town and the sequels next week and you can find the schedule here. You’re welcome.
